Home » ENTERTAINMENT, INDIAN COMMUNITY » Vibha Vibe 2010 at Milwaukee: A Multi-Cultural extravaganza
On Saturday I had the opportunity to attend the Vibha Vibe 2010 annual fundraiser event held at Central Library’s grand Centennial Hall.  Vibha Vibe is a Multicultural Potpourri of Music and Dance, Bollywood, Capoeira, River Dance, Kathak, Belly Dancing, Ballet, Latin Dance, Zumba, Semi-classical, Hip-Hop, Bhangra and many more..The hall was full to its capacity (@ 600) and the event was a grand success.
Vibha, A volunteer-driven nonprofit organization working to improve the lives of underprivileged children both in the United States and India, Vibha makes a positive difference through grassroots education and health projects. The event started @ 5 PM with dinner (guests had the option to buy the dinner plus event ticket or event only ticket). The food was prepared by Milwaukee’s one of the best Indian Restaurants, Mayura (http://MayuraMilwaukee.com or http://WisIndians.com/mayura).
The cultural program was a huge success, which was very much reflected by the audience’s claps and comments after each program (you will hear them when we upload the video from this event). Kudos to the organizers who worked hard to get such a mixture of programs which represented pretty much all parts of the world..Asia, Europe, Americas.
Part of the proceeds from Vibha Vibe will be donated to the Milwaukee Public Schools’ Homeless Education Program and rest will be used for other excellent projects they have undertaken in other parts of USA and India.

The dance by Milwaukee based tribal belly dance group ‘Rakshanda’ caught everyones attention. The dance was a very smooth flow between the body and the music. .
